How I Store my Jewelry and Supplies {WIMW Vol. 15}

12/4/13

I've come to realize that I'm mainly just posting these posts for myself. I don't know why, but I like looking back and seeing how I stored/organized things and seeing if there's a difference. I also love sharing my ideas and hope that others can takeaway some tips. I just felt like I needed to throw that out there :)
Anyway, today I'm posting how I store my jewelry and jewelry cleaners.

I am not a big jewelry girl. I don't like costume jewelry. I only wear my wedding ring every single day. When I'm dressing up I'll wear a simple necklace, stud earrings, and my Pandora bracelets.

I keep my most worn jewelry on my nightstand in a mirrored box that I got from Hobby Lobby! The rest of my jewelry is kept in a bulky, black container that is currently packed away so I'll edit a picture in at another time. Trust me... it's nothing special. Maybe one day I'll become more of a jewelry fan.

I keep all of the cleaning supplies in this little container that I picked up at Target!

Sterling silver cleaning cloth, Diamond stick, and liquid cleaner for diamonds and for pearls. I try to clean my most worn jewelry once every two weeks. I take the Pandora bracelets in to be cleaned any time I go to the mall. I would not recommend cleaning them yourself!

What's in Duke's Grooming Tote {WIMW Vol. 14}

11/27/13

I think it's pretty obvious how OCD/over-organized I am {or at least try to be} so it shouldn't be a surprise that I hated having Duke's items strewn all over the house. His brushes in the cabinet, his towel and shampoo in the bathroom, and his dental care items downstairs. It drove me crazy! So when I came across the Martha Stewart Grooming Tote I knew that I had found my solution! Not to mention it was on sale :) So here's a peak at what tools we use to keep Duke good looking and how we store them.

 Various brushes- grooming a Keeshond is no joke!

 Baby powder for those messy bums LOL
 Toothpaste and brushes.

 Towel, shampoo, and shopping bags which we use when we're brushing him to corral the fur.

This dog is so high maintenance ;)

I love having everything all together, being able to just grab the tote, and groom away! Eventually I plan to post our grooming process since we do it all ourselves.

What's on my Christmas Wish List {WIMW Vol. 13}

11/20/13

I've seen these posts starting to pop up in the blog world and decided to join in the fun! So here are the items I wouldn't mind seeing under the tree this year ;)

 1: Patriots sweatshirt
2: Target bookcase with DOORS
3. Hunter Welly socks
4: Sweater tunics- they're my new obsession

 1: A new yoga mat.
2: NorthFace fleece
 3: Rubbermaid mop {yes I'm serious LOL}
4: Non-clamping curling wand

And finally some yoga accessories!

Christmas is my favorite holiday and I can't wait to spend time with our families, eat yummy food, drive through the lights display on Hines Dr., and to really soak in what the holiday is really about. THIRTY-FIVE days ya'll!

What's in our Bathroom {WIMW Vol. 12}

10/30/13

I've mentioned before that Thomas and I are currently living with his parents and the plan is to stay there until August. The main reason for this is to save money and therefore hopefully avoid taking out even more student loans once we're both back in school next Fall. It's been a huge blessing and we're so thankful that we even have this opportunity, but it isn't exactly easy. Being married and not having your own place is hard. Leaving your perfect little apartment to move in with your parents is hard. It's as simple as that. BUT we're both staying focused on the big picture {some days are easier than others} and making the best of the current situation.

We bought the couch and set up a "living room" in the basement so that we could have our own space, made the bedroom feel as much as ours as we could, and getting to what this post is actually about-making the half bath "ours." This living situation has forced us to simplify our belongings in a lot of ways {don't even get me started on the closet}, especially in the bathroom/beauty/products department.

Since it's the half bath it is s-m-a-l-l so I had to get creative with how we could maximize the space and here's what I came up with-

The bottom shelf has my straightner, blow dryer, extra cottons, and garbage bags.

Two plastic 3 drawer organizers, utilizing the tops of said organizers, and using travel sized items to save on space. Here's a look at what's inside the drawers-

On top is T's daily supplies, the first drawer holds dental & shaving related items, second drawer has my hair items, and the bottom drawer has my face supplies.

The other container is my makeup- on top is my brushes, deodorant, & hair products, first drawer holds face products, second drawer holds eye, and the bottom drawer holds lip.

Counter top just holds toothbrushes {with Steripods to protect them}, glass, & soap.

Newest organization addition- this little tray and containers that hold qtips, floss picks, and face cottons.
 I need to wipe these down

So there you have it... what we keep in our tiny bathroom and how we organize it :)

What's in my Car {WIMW Vol. 11}

10/2/13

I got my first car this past May {yes first... when I was 22 years old} and ever since then I've tried my best to keep it as clean as possible. So here's what I keep in my car to help me achieve that-

The compartment in between the two front seats holds a pen, my iPod, car registration, and insurance.

I keep a car charging port accessible for those times when I need to charge my phone {I always have a charger in my purse}

On the passenger side floor I keep a little container from Dollar General for garbage {tissues, straw wrappers, ect} and I keep a reusable shopping bag in the door compartment.

The glove compartment holds an on-the-go makeup kit, GPS, necessities pouch, and car manual.

The necessities pouch holds a straw, tissues, bandaids, stain remover wipes, antibacterial wipes, dog treats, tampon, lint roller, bug spray, hand sanitizer, floss, and Scentportables.

The makeup pouch holds... makeup :)

All I keep in the truck is my reusable shopping bags and a gift for the husband that I don't want him to find ;)

How do you keep your car clean/organized?

What's in my Gym Bag {WIMW Vol. 10}

9/25/13

Today I'm posting what I keep in my gym bag/my favorite workout items. I will be completely honest and say that in no way am I a "fitness junkie". I don't even like working out 85% of the time, but I'm trying to change that and that's all that matters right? Right. And how am I trying to do that? I am currently taking a Best Body Workout class every Monday {which kicked my butt this week!} and I'm helping with my cousins soccer team twice a week{yesterday I was a fill in defender during a scrimmage.. I honestly can't move today lol}. Maybe one day I'll become a member of a gym or work out everyday, but right now it isn't happening. Enough background talk... onto the bag!

I got this bag as a birthday present from my grandparents and I love it! It is HUGE and well it's bright pink ;)

A peak inside when it's all filled up.

Now onto the contents...
The bag comes with a detachable wristlet that I keep my Garmin Forerunner 10, a snack, and my iPod/headphones as well.

Since I go straight from work I pack a change of gym clothes {all from Target- LOVE the C9 line}, my favorite Wrightsock socks, tennis shoes, and Sanuk Yoga Mat flip flops!

You know me and my necessities pouches ;) In this one I have face wipes, chapstick, hand sanitizer, deodorant and deodorant wipes, advil, hair brush, extra hair ties and clips, headband, band aids, and a pen.

A little pouch {made out of a yoga mat!!} holds my strap.

Random things- hat for soccer practice, towel, and gloves.

Can't forget a water bottle, wallet, keys, and iPod {which should've been in the wristlet}.

These are the things that are always in my bag, but if I need something else {yoga mat, resistance bands, ect} I'll add them as needed.

What do you keep in your gym bag?
What are your favorite workouts?

Next weeks post is what I have in my car!

What's in my Fall Purse {WIMW Vol. 9}

9/18/13

I have always been a "purse girl"- meaning that purses are my favorite accessories, any kind of bag to be honest. In high school I bought a new purse every 3 months or so until Thomas bought me my first "baby"- a beautiful brown Coach shoulder bag {which I still have and love despite Duke getting to one of the straps}. And I've used that purse every fall since 2009. After using a crossbody type purse all summer long I knew that I wanted to use one for fall too, but I couldn't justify buying another expensive bag. So of course trusty Target came to the rescue ;) And at $24.99 you just can't beat it!

1. Phone charger 2. Wallet 3. Phone 4. Mini emergency kit 5. Sunglasses 6. Electronic wipe 7. Headphones 8. Pens and mini notebook 9. Keys

What's inside the mini emergency kit: 1. Hair ties and bobby pins 2. Nail clippers and file 3. Deodorant towelette 4. Medicine 5. Bandaids 6. Shout wipes 7. Floss
{This photo is terrible and made me realize how badly I need to learn how to use my camera}

What do you carry in your purse? I'd love to see! Next week is what I carry in my gym bag.

What's on my Fall Bucket List {WIMW Vol. 8}

9/11/13

I know you've seen these lists floating around the blogosphere ever since September rolled around and you're probably sick of them, but I'm posting mine anyway ;)

It seems like fall is everyones favorite season and while I do enjoy it, it is not my favorite {summer is}. And there is only one reason for that- it means that winter is coming. And I despise winter {usually... we'll see if I change my tune this year}.

Anywho, I still have a few things that I'd like to do before that dreaded white stuff comes and here they are!

{1} Attend a football game
We all know that I loveee football {ahem... the name of my little space on the internet} and while I hope we can go to a college or NFL game, I'll even settle for my good ole Franklin Patriots.

{2} Make my Grandpa's chili recipe and spend a Sunday watching football

{3} Go to the Plymouth Orchards and Cider Mill
Get a few fresh donuts and apple cider, take a hay ride, and pick a pumpkin!

{4} Have a bonfire and make s'mores!
My mouth is drooling just thinking about it...

{5} Get family pictures taken
This is definitely happening! T, Duke, and I say cheeseeee :)

{6} Take Duke to the dog park/a field so he can run

What's in Duke's bag {WIMW Vol. 7}

9/4/13

I originally planned on posting what I carry in my purse, but I haven't had time to take those pictures yet. So I had to dig up a category that I've already taken the pictures for and that's how this weeks topic is Duke's bag. I will preface this with this: I know that I look like a crazy women, but nothing is more horrible then going somewhere and realizing you don't have what you need. I can't imagine what I'm going to be like when I have a human baby. Watch out LOL

Yes I carry my dog stuff in a VB bag...

 Now onto the contents...
 1. Blanket {Duke LOVES sucking on it} 2. Towel 3. Food & water bowl 4. Toys {LOTS of them} 5. Stake 6 & 7. Treats and poop bags 8. Food bowl and Travel water

I packed this when we took Duke to one of my best friends' birthday party that was hosted at a lake house!

Dog mommies- what do you take when you take your pup with you somewhere?
