Sometimes we get too wrapped up in all the crummy things going on in our lives that we forget about all the things that make us happy! Today I'm posting 32 things that never fail to make me happy :)

1. Coming home to a clean place {so why don't I do this way more often?!}

2. Fun dates with my husband

We love a good game of mini golf

3. Flowers {the ones bought at stores, not delivered}

4. The furball that has forever changed my life! He makes me smile every single day.

5. Good days at work {the best ones are when no one cries ALL day!}

6. Family walks

7. Organizing

You can never have too many bins/baskets

8. Exploring new places

9. Warm weather... more specifically summer. I love summer!

Friday Five {Vol. 10}

Look at who the cat dragged in... I wish I had a good reason for disappearing, but I don't. I just wasn't feeling it. But here I am so lets jump into five things I'm loving this week!

Not Your Mother's hair products. They're cheap {less than $7 each} and work great! I haven't used the Intensive Hair Unit yet, but I'm excited to compare it to the Macadamia hair mask. This is the first dry shampoo I've ever tried and so far so good.

Bath and Body Works Market Peach is one of my favorite scents so when they released soap, hand sanitizer, and lotion {it used to only be available in a candle} I jumped on it! Next time I go I want to pick up the chapstick too. I love the new soap bottles too.

My husband and I have decided on where we're going for our anniversary trip this summer- Gatlinburg, TN! We're going to be staying in this cute little cabin for 6 days :) More to come on this next week...

My new camera goodies! Everyone with a dSLR should have a screen protector for the LCD viewing screen and a cleaning kit {I got all of these from Amazon}. I can't wait to play with the new lens.

And as always I'm loving this sweet pup more and more everyday. We're both ready for spring so that we can go for walks again.

Random Things You Should Know About Me!

Jen tagged me weeks ago and I'm just getting around to posting it.. sorry about that!

1. What is something you thought you would never do or accomplish but have?

Graduating college with honors. School has never came easy to me, I graduated high school with a 2.something GPA and it wasn't something I took very seriously until I started college.

2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Honestly, I have no idea. Things are so up in the air lately that our lives could go off in plenty of different directions. I just hope that T and I are finished with school and working in fields that we enjoy. And hopefully purchasing our first home.

3. Who is the most influential person in your life?
Without a doubt, my grandma. She has taught me everything that I know.

4. What is the best advice you've received about blogging?
Blog for yourself and not other people. 90% of the reason I even bother with this blog is to have our lives documented somewhere, I don't do it for numbers. But, I don't mind "meeting" new friends either ;)

5. If you had to be stuck in one season for the rest of your life what would it be?
Summer, because I love getting to enjoy and explore Michigan in the summer. Laying on a beach/hammock will always be my favorite thing. Ever.

6. What is your greatest accomplishment in life so far?
Two things- graduating college with honors and our relationship making it through Thomas' Army enlistment/the 3 years apart. It definitely wasn't easy.

7. Who in your immediate family are you most like personality wise?
Hmm I'm not sure, but probably my grandma.

8. What is (or was) your favorite class in school?
In high school I loved English and in college I loved my speech classes {obviously} and Psychology!

9. What is your absolute favorite store to shop at?
Target. Come on... that shouldn't even be a question haha

10. What is the best vacation you've ever been on?
I have two- the Eastern Caribbean cruise I went on with my family in 2006 and our honeymoon cruise.

11. Have you ever left the country? If so, where did you go?
Yes- Canada, Bahamas, and Caribbean.

Five on Friday {Vol. 4}

Today {erm... tonight} I'm liking up with these wonderful women for Five on Friday!

{ONE} Have you heard of the Turbie Twist? If not you're seriously missing out! Yes, I know they look a bit ridiculous {Thomas says I look like a granny}, BUT they prevent me from having to wear a heavy towel on my head AND dry my crazy thick hair a lot quicker! Not to mention they're only ~$6. I got mine at CVS and plan on picking up another one!

{TWO} Football is back on TV! Oh how I love football ;)

{THREE} These Bath & Body Works Critter socks are not only adorable {I got an owl pair}, but so comfy and warm too! Not to mention they have little grippers on the bottom. I like wearing them around the house.

{FOUR} We ordered our couch! We ended up going with the Chocolate color and got the protection package too so we don't have to worry about Duke ;) Now we have to wait up to 8 weeks for it to be delivered..

{FIVE} I have some "big" news and I can't wait to tell you more.. check back on Tuesday ;) But I will say that I am not pregnant! LOL

Friday Five {Vol. 3}

Here are five things that I'm loving right now!

{1} The husband and his parents have given me a couple birthday presents a little early {my birthday is August 7th!} and I'm so excited to use them!

{2} These undies are seriously life changing! I seriously can't get over how comfortable they are! I can't wait to pick up a few more with my 20% off coupon ;) Not to mention they're 7 for $26!

{3} Like I mentioned yesterday- I'm wearing sport bras a lot more often and these ones from Target are my favorite! They're so comfortable!

{4} Homemade Calzones. So delicious! Enough said!

{5} And of course this little stinker is always my favorite ;)

Sunday Social {Vol. 2}

{1} What is your favorite TV as a kid?
Full House, 7th Heaven, anything Mary-Kate and Ashley, and TRL! These are more Elementary School aged shows, because I don't remember watching any TV when I was really young.

{2} What is your current favorite TV show?
One Tree Hill will ALWAYS be my favorite, but currently Pretty Little Liars, Revenge, and Law & Order: SVU are :)

{3} Which reality show would you NEVER do?
Survivor... I'd never last.

{4} Which reality show would you LOVE to do?
Any show on HGTV!

{5} What is the TV personality/character that you feel is most like you?
Hmm.. I can't really think of anyone other than Hayden Panettiere in Remember the Titans lol

{6} Which TV character would you want to date?
Without a doubt Lucas Scott ;)

I thought this would be a fun way for my readers to learn a little more about my husband. And if you can think of any other fun questions ask away!

{1} What celebrity would play you in a movie about your life?
"The janitorial staff at work calls me Ben Affleck... something about my chin."
I reminded him that his answer didn't really answer the question... so he said
"Andy from Parks and Rec" who happens to be Chris Pratt.

{2} What is your dream car?
"Pontiac G8. Black. Chrome rims and tinted windows."

{3} Do you have any tattoos What, where, why?
"Yes I have two. The first one I got is on my right shoulder and it's a Polish eagle with my grandpa's initials. I got it after he passed away. The second one is on my left tricep and it's the word LiCrew which is what my group of friends call ourselves."

{4} Boxers or briefs?
"Boxer briefs because they hold everything where it needs to be, but isn't too constricting."

{5} List three random facts about you..
"I played Rugby in high school and my position was Flyhalf. I really enjoy history. Tampa Bay Buccaneers are my favorite sports team."

Getting him to answer some of these questions felt like I was pulling his teeth, but I hope you enjoyed them :) LOL

Friday Letters {Vol. 8}

I'm switching it up a little this week and linking up with Ashley at The Sweet Season for Friday Letters :)

Dear Husband's New Job: I don't appreciate the fact that you feel like you can walk all over him. He is an AMAZING worker and it'll be your lost if things continue this way {he's worked nearly 70 hours during his first week & they're STILL asking him to come in on his first day off! And a lot of other annoying factors that is a post for a different time}. Dear GRE Prep: Why are you so unappealing and difficult? My motivation is at zero and this is a huge problem. Dear Job Search: I'm praying that you're going to come to an end very soon! I really hope one of these nanny positions works out. Dear Duke: Unfortunately we think it's time to say enough is enough and get you a muzzle. NOTHING is stopping him from biting/jumping/taking anything he can get his mouth on {this last part is our fault}. Dear Husband: Words can't describe how excited I am to celebrate our first anniversary tomorrow! I love you <3

Sunday Social {Vol. 1}

This week I'm liking up with Neeley for the first time and participating in Sunday Social {BTW how cute is the name?!} Feel free to join in ;)

{1} What is the best trip you've ever been on?
I'm going to pick two, because one I paid for and one my grandparents paid for! LOL

1. Our honeymoon, a Western Caribbean cruise from Tampa, FL that sailed to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. 2. The cruise my family took in 2006 that sailed from Cape Canaveral to Nassau, St. Marteen, and St. Thomas! My brother & I swam with sharks and my family did a sail boat excursion that was really cool! Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures on my laptop because it was before I had my own digital camera LOL

{2} What is your best idea for a girls weekend trip?
Somewhere tropical and preferably all-inclusive! Laying out on a beach next to the ocean all day with a fruity drink in my hand? Don't forget massages and pedicures! Yes, please!

{3} What is your best idea for a couples trip?
In all honesty I think any trip is amazing with my husband! I do think that road trips are better with your spouse than with other people, because you tend not to get annoyed as easily and typically enjoy the same music, rest stops, ect.

{4} What is the best vacation on the cheap?
Without a doubt I think cruising is the best bang for your buck! And that's one of the reasons why I love them so much. T & I already have 3 other cruises on our traveling bucket list :)

{5} What is the place you want to visit the most?
Bora Bora! No explanation needed... One day ;)

Five On Friday!

{ONE} My awesome husband got a new job! A full-time, benefit giving, great hours job! We're so thankful and are really hopeful that this will work out for the long haul. T will be working 6am to 2pm Tuesday through Saturday and attending school full time.

{TWO} After Duke ate my Oakley sunglasses (ERRRR) I became determined to find a dog toy that he liked and lasted longer than 30 minutes! I reached out on Facebook and a friend recommended West Paw Design. Which is a USA based company that offers a full no questions asked refund if the toy gets ruined. I decided to check out Pets Supplies Plus and what would you know they carried the brand! I ended up getting the Hurley bone and Jive ball. A week later and they're still going strong. I'm crossing my fingers that they'll last and keep him entertained.

{THREE} As soon as I get off work later today the husband, myself, and our two friends are heading to Torch Lake for the weekend! I've never been and after googling it I'm even more excited! I'm hoping for a great weekend and be on the look out for a recap on Tuesday!

{FOUR} I've finally gotten back into reading and just finished the newest Pretty Little Liars book- Crushed. I can't believe there's only one book left in this series! Now I'm reading Where we Belong by Emily Giffin.

{FIVE} I have a few leads on new job prospects and I'm crossing my fingers that one of them work out! Job hunting sure is exhausting!
